Ash Lash Luxury Lashes By Ashlyn Coco.

If you’re a fellow Vintage Girl or lover of Old Hollywood and 1950s Blonde Bombshells, then you’ll know all about the incredibly stunning, Ashlyn Coco. I’ve been following Ashlyn for a number of years now and she is without doubt, the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen – if Marilyn and Jayne had a child together it would be her. Not only is she beyond gorgeous on the outside, but she has the purest heart and is such a kind soul, I feel very fortunate enough to know her. Therefore, I was simply over joyed when earlier this year she announced the release of her Brand, Ash Lash – a vintage aesthetic dream company, which sells all things retro style related, but most importantly as the title states – false eyelashes!

All the lashes are inspired by vintage decades and famous stars and they are 100% cruelty and vegan free, whilst being hand made individually to create a special, “3D” effect. Each pair of lashes costs $22, which is roughly £16 and if looked after, can be worn over 25 times – which is ultimately a huge bargain! Not only are you paying for possibly the most beautiful falsies made, you’re also purchasing the most intricately produced dream packaging. These aren’t a one time wear item, this is something you will treasure and they should take pride of place on your dressing room table.

With Ashlyn knowing how much I adore Marilyn, she kindly chose this pair for me to have – something I will always be forever grateful for! The Marilyn lashes are of course, inspired by the ultimate Star and exude quintessential Old Hollywood glamour, creating the perfect bedroom eyes she was so famously known for. This product is truly a work of art, featuring different variations in length which further create an added volume and luxurious look.

Not only are the lashes an incredible masterpiece, the box they are presented in is beyond beautiful, it reminds me of a vintage powder puff that would be key feature in a classic boudoir. The gold, pink and white colours blend together like an aesthetic dream and are so iconic and timeless – just like Ashlyn! Also, the actual shipping box simply has to be mentioned, it exudes ultra glamour and style and I will treasure it just as much as the products.

To apply the lashes, I used the  stunning premium gold applicator which retails for $6 and the lash adhesive glue
which is $12. Even these products which are only used behind the scenes are just gorgeous, it’s really so admirable how much time and effort has gone into making every single item and does not go unnoticed! With each order, you receive a complimentary postcard, featuring Ashlyn on the front and the lashes on the back – it will be taking pride of place on my dressing table!

Each lash style is specifically created to fit the era or star they’re named after, so there truly is a different look for everyone. However, if lashes aren’t your thing – and if not then they will be after wearing an Ash Lash! – there are plenty of other products available to purchase. Sunglasses, beauty accessories and various bundle deals are all on offer. The attention to detail is absolutely astounding and Ashlyn deserves all the success in the world, once you’ve worn an Ash Lash, it’s simply impossible to wear anything else!

The lashes feel completely weightless and very comfortable to wear, even the adhesive glue smells lovely – a rare quality as falsie wearers will know! I can’t express how much I love both Ashlyn and her Brand, she is so authentically herself and her passion and love for Ash Lash truly shines throughout every detail. I am beyond excited to see the growth and expansion of this amazing company and will always be rooting for and supporting someone as special as Ashlyn.

Phase Zero Makeup Eyeshadow Palettes.

Today I kindly received twelve beautiful new Phase Zero Makeup Eyeshadows and a Palette to review from Love Me Beauty, with five shades being a sheer satin finish and the other seven being shimmer. After successfully launching their Liquid Lipstick collection, they have expanded their beauty brand and created a variety of shadows with a wonderful concept called B.Y.O.P – build your own palette. I think this is such a wonderful idea, as this means that you can choose your favourite colours and create a unique set that suits your style.

Each of the shadows comes in a protected plastic case and once removed from the packaging, can be firmly placed into the palette with its magnetic hold! Altogether twelve different shades can fit into your own palette and due to each one having a magnet, they can always be moved in and out, if you want to mix it up and just have a change.

For my own palette, I was sent the following shades; Coffee Cup – a rich brown, Warm Taupe – a soft taupe, Cashmere – a dusty rose, Velvet – a warm purple and Banana Beige – a sunshine gold. These five are a sheer satin finish, meaning they offer a buildable coverage, are easily blendable and have a sheen quality. The other shadows are; Nude Newbie – a mauve pink nude, Mush-a-boom – warm grey, Party Dress – a deep glittery black, Pearl – a golden pearl pink, Cocoa – a warm brown, Bright Light – a highlighting white and Snowball – a golden white. These seven colours are a shimmer finish which apply evenly and give you a buildable, blendable coverage. Phase Zero Makeup also recommend tapping off any excess product before applying the shadow to ensure an even application and less fall out.

I really appreciate the variety of shades I’ve been able to try, I usually like to use gold, white and nude shadows to create a 1950s Marilyn inspired look and a contrast with my black winged eyeliner. Therefore, it’s great to have shades I love to wear regularly, but also to be able to try more daring colours and improve on my eyeshadow skills.

If you become a member, each shadow costs just £2.90 to purchase and if not, the original retail price is £5.90. However, you can also buy bundle shadow sets with two together costing £5.00 for members and £11.80 for non-members, three shadows cost £6.99 discounted and £14.50 retail price and last but not least, six shadows can be bought together for £9.99 or £25.50 full price. Therefore, as you can see there is a huge difference regarding each price and ultimately, I think it’s a better deal to purchase a few together, instead of buying all separately.

The Phase Zero Makeup B.Y.O.P is a beautiful holographic design and features a mirror, it’s a great size, not too big and not too small – it could easily fit in your handbag for every day use. The original price costs £10.80 compared to the member price which is just £4.80 – over 50% cheaper. Also, the palette does not come with any shadows, they are all sold individually.

Furthermore, Love Me Beauty have kindly created an influencer code for me, which offers you the chance to save £5 off your first purchase. Should you choose to buy anything – the code is, “MEGAN5” and as I pride myself in honesty, I have to state, for anytime my code is used I will receive a £5 commission.

Please note, I pride myself in making sure I write honest reviews and although I was fortunate enough to be gifted these items, I was not told to say any of the following statements I have made.

Lastly, a huge thank you to Amelia at Love Me Beauty for kindly gifting me this collection and making it possible for me to review such wonderful products!

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Mini Red & Pink Velour Liquid Lipstick Bundle.

When Jeffree first launched the Mini Nude Velour Liquid Lipstick Bundle last year, I hoped that the time would come when he would release a red volume and so in February, when the Love Sick Collection launched, so did the Red & Pink Mini Velour Liquid Lipstick Bundle! As soon as I saw this absolute beauty, I knew that I had to have it in my ever expanding archive of makeup and when it arrived on Beauty Bay on Thursday, I ordered it straight away. Also, I simply have to give a huge appreciation to Beauty Bay, as if you order before 9PM they will ship your order next day for free – that is one seriously good deal.

The Mini Collection retails for £45, which might sound like a lot but considering each Velour Liquid Lipstick is £16 by itself, it’s a pretty great bargain. Jeffree Star Cosmetics have simply outdone themselves with the Love Sick Collection, the packaging is an absolute dream, it looks extremely luxurious and should definitely be displayed on your dressing table. The collection comes with eight of Jeffree’s most popular red and pink shades, with each one being vegan and cruelty free. Out of all eight shades in the box, I only have one – Doll Parts, which is a gorgeous mauve pink tone and definitely one of my favourites to wear. Plus, with four of the shades being on my to buy list, I’m extremely happy to have purchased this set and I can see which ones I would buy in their full size.

The other seven shades in the bundle are as follows, Calabasas, Wifey, Watermelon Soda, Anna Nicole, Prom Night, Redrum and Unicorn Blood. I think if you’re a lover of wearing pink and red lipsticks, then of course, this is most definitely a must have purchase. There is such a variety of hues and tones in this collection, from warm shades – Watermelon Soda and Anna Nicole, to blue shades – Wifey, Redrum, Unicorn Blood, Prom Night and mauve shades – Doll Parts and Calabasas.

Jeffree’s liquid lipsticks are known to be very long lasting and extremely high quality, one of the best formulas in the beauty world. He’s always pushing the boundaries with creating new shades, coming out with unique product ideas and I really do love the concept of the mini collection. Not only is it wonderful to have so many lipsticks for such a good price, but they’re the perfect travel size products to take with you wherever you go. Plus, with such a variety of products,  it’s wonderful to be able to try a shade you may not have necessarily bought separately.

If I had to choose my favourite shade from the collection it would be Redrum, this bold classic red has been one of the colours I’ve been dreaming of purchasing as soon as I discovered it. I know it’s one of Jeffree’s most popular reds and it was simply the first one I had to try! I’ve also photographed myself wearing the colour,  Unicorn Blood and I just love the tone – a cool dark burgundy red. All of Jeffree’s lipsticks dry down to a matte format, but don’t feel uncomfortable, they still keep your lips feeling moisturized. With eight shades in the collection, I’ve now tried seven and can genuinely say I love all of them and now have a new lipstick to wear for each day of the week.

I can’t wait to see what Jeffree Star Cosmetics release next, I wonder what will be the third bundle set, maybe metallics, purples or even rainbow shades? Either way, I’m so excited to find out!

Phase Zero Makeup.

As a huge lover of Makeup, I really love discovering new Brands and trying out different products, although, which Beauty Blogger doesn’t!? Therefore, I was extremely happy when Ruth from Love Me Beauty contacted me asking if I would like to review some cosmetics by Phase Zero Makeup – a recently launched company.

Phase Zero Makeup launched their first line of lip products on February 2nd in collaboration with Love Me Beauty – all of the shades are available on their website for retail and factory price! Which means, if you join the website to become a member, instead of paying the retail amount of £12.00 per item, you’d pay the factory price of £3.50. Basically, you could purchase three products and still be under the full price of one – now that’s what I call a major deal! With the retail price being £12.00, the Brand is in the mid price range and after reviewing their items I would say it’s very high quality and worthy of it’s price.

Love Me Beauty kindly sent me the whole first lip collection from Phase Zero Makeup which includes the following; four liquid lipsticks, two lip toppers and three lip glosses. The liquid lipstick shades are; Classic Red – a bold vibrant blue toned red, Gingerbread – a rusty reddish brown and Chai Latte – a warm nude. The lip topper shades are; Holo-lip – an icy baby pink and Prosecco Kiss – a gorgeous rose gold. Lastly, the lip gloss shades are; Dark Burgundy – a vampy dark purple, Pink Suede – a romantic rosy tint and Postbox Red – a screen siren scarlet. I’ve linked all the products that are available on Love Me Beauty and I’ve noticed that the shades look slightly different compared to real life. However, I actually think the colours look much nicer in reality!

There are so many wonderful things I can say about this collection, with the variety of shades being a great start. It’s so refreshing to have so many different colours to choose from, pinks, nudes, purples and reds, meaning you can have the option to create so many different looks. I also really appreciate that a variety of formulas are offered – although I’m primarily a lipstick wearer, it’s nice to be able to wear the toppers and glosses also!

Of course, as a red lipstick lover, the one I was drawn to straight away was Classic Red and this is the shade I’m wearing in my post. Did I have fairly high hopes? Well yes, it’s nice to be positive! However, I was absolutely blown away by the lipstick! Not only did it smell simply gorgeous, but it pretty much lasted all day – almost just as well as Rihanna’s Stunna Lip Paint which I reviewed in my last post. The only flaw I have and in all honesty it’s not a fault, more a preference, is I’d have liked the shade to be even more blue toned – the cooler the better in my opinion.

I really enjoy the overall packaging, I love the white top and clear container, it contrasts so well with the bold Phase Zero logo. Plus, I really like when you can see the shade of the lipstick, it almost becomes a part of the packaging itself! Also, the silver and black cardboard metallic boxes are super chic and make the product feel even more luxurious. The wand isn’t uniquely different to any others I’ve seen, but if it’s not broke – there’s really no need to change it.

Please note, I pride myself in making sure I write honest reviews and although I was fortunate enough to be gifted these items, I was not told to say any of the following statements I have made.

Lastly, a huge thank you to Ruth at Love Me Beauty for kindly gifting me this collection and introducing me to an amazing new Makeup Brand!

Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint in Uncensored.

There’s one Makeup Brand that without a doubt shook the beauty universe last year and it was Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty. Named after the lady herself, Rihanna strove to create her own cosmetic line that was suitable for everyone and in her own words – beauty for all. Whether you’re a fan or Rihanna or not, you definitely can’t deny the amazing reception her makeup has created and the hugely important awareness she has shown in providing for everyone.

If you’re in the UK like myself, you’ll be able to purchase Fenty Beauty from Harvey Nichols – a classy store for a classy brand! Although I had been drooling over the amazing products created by Fenty Beauty for a few months, it wasn’t until the Stunna Lip Paint in Uncensored was released that I discovered the one item I simply had to have in my collection. This lipstick has been described as the, “perfect universal red” meaning that it is suitable for all shades and skin tones and it most definitely does not disappoint! As someone who wears red lipstick 99% of the time, I really love this concept and I find it really impressive that Fenty Beauty could create a true red for all. We’re often advised in the beauty world that fair skin pulls off blue toned reds and darker skins suit orange warm toned reds. Therefore, it’s great to see that you don’t have to follow the unwritten rules of beauty and that there’s one red for all.

The first thing I noticed about the product, was the size – I was extremely pleased to see that not only was it such beautiful quality, the quantity was incredible too! For £19 – which is definitely not the cheapest lipstick out there, but to be fair, it’s also far from the most expensive – you really do get a huge amount of product for your money’s worth. In all honesty I was pleasantly surprised that the lip paint wasn’t more expensive, as often with big name brands you end up paying more money simply because of that. Ultimately, it was refreshing to see you’re mostly paying for the quality of the product. Plus, a little product goes a long way, the lipstick needs just one application and you’re ready to roll.

After wearing this lipstick a number of times since I got it for Christmas, I’ve also noticed it has incredibly longevity. Often when lipsticks are described as 12+ hour wear and long lasting, it usually isn’t the case. However, the Stunna Lip Paint lasts pretty damn well all day long! Is it 100% perfect? Well, no – as no matter what any brand says – no lipstick can look perfect all day long however, if there’s one that comes pretty close – it’s Uncensored.

Furthermore, if the quality of the product wasn’t enough to convince you just how good this lipstick is, the packaging should definitely do the trick! The bottle is so bold and chic, I can’t think of another that stands out like this, it truly is a statement piece and should have pride of place on every beauty table. I also love the unique shape of the wand, as someone who has many liquid lipsticks, I don’t think I’ve seen one like this before.

Ultimately, if you’re a red lipstick lover, this is the red lipstick for you – thank you Rihanna!
